Uranus in Taurus

Uranus in Taurus

Uranus, planet of unexpected events moves into Taurus on May 15th where it will be until 2026.

Pushing for Change

Uranus first entered Aries in May of 2010, either contentiously pushing for change or alternately, aggressively defending the status quo even in the face of inevitable progress. There was no higher authority than the individual, and the crazier the idea was, the more sound it seemed. However, this era of raw rebelliousness is coming to an end as Uranus enters Taurus on May 15, 2018 and stays until late April 2026, but make no mistake: Uranus slows down and shuts up for no one, even when placed in otherwise stubborn, steadfast, and predictable Taurus.

It’s About Money, Property, and Values

Uranus in Taurus will shake up our ideas of money, property, and values, possibly transforming these things, whether we want it or not. The last time Uranus entered Taurus, the world was in the thick of the Great Depression. World War II was raging as it left Taurus. Uranus in Taurus didn’t start either of these. The seeds were planted before the results exploded to the surface.

Self Interests

With Uranus in Taurus, people become more interested in themselves, their own needs, and their own values. Globalism is replaced by nationalism at an ever-increasing rate, something we saw appearing before 2018. In fact, Uranus in Taurus will be wreaking havoc from Day One.

Volatility with Mars square Uranus

On May 15th, Mars enters Aquarius as Uranus enters Taurus. This creates an immediate square between these two volatile energies. On June 26thMars goes retrograde and the world will have its collective finger on the self-destruct button. However, it could also be a time where people and communities cleanse themselves of their worst elements.

Realism with a Trine from Saturn

Settling down any potential erratic situations is a wide trine from Saturn. This energy brings a disciplined, experienced and structured approach. There’s also a conjunction from Mercury to Uranus which channels innovative solutions.

No Boundaries with an Opposition from Jupiter

Starting in June, Jupiter in Scorpio will make a wide opposition to Uranus for the first two months it is in Taurus. Jupiter and Uranus are planets that prefer no boundaries, and yet they’re locked in fixed signs, causing frustration and blocked energy.

Changes to Values with an Opposition from Retrograde Venus

Venus goes retrograde in Scorpio on October 5th opposing Uranus in late October. There will be sudden changes in what people value. Those who change their minds may not even really know why, or have kept their reasons secret, until now. Strange alliances are forged while traditional ones are broken.

A Practical Dimension when Saturn trines Uranus

While Uranus can certainly make 2018 feel as if a tidal wave hit it, it’s not all doom and gloom. In fact, we get a little reprieve in September through the end of 2018 when Saturn and Uranus are trine in Earth signs, adding a practical dimension to Uranus’s instability. Those with planets or angles in Earth signs will feel more stable, secure, and wise.

2018 and Beyond

Beyond 2018, a trine from Jupiter in Capricorn in December 2019 through January 2020 brings knowledge to Uranus’s brilliant madness. The first half of 2024 brings a conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus while Uranus sextiles Saturn and Neptune, giving us societal and global changes that make life better for the other 99%, making the dream of transformation that begun in 2023 when Pluto entered Aquarius possible.
