Sun conjunct Juno

Looking for love

Kelli Fox

A lasting, loving relationship is of central importance to you and your life. You may feel as if you're at your best when you're happily coupled; as if life is not only sweeter but more defined when you can share it with another person. Or, you may simply feel that life is not to be lived alone; that the human condition is to be in an intimate relationship with someone else.

Depending on other aspects in your birth chart, you're either idealistic or realistic about this, but this particular aspect points more toward the realistic side of things. You want to be in a stable, committed relationship, but you recognize that it takes work and commitment on both sides. And though it may seem traditional to hope for marriage and dream of a lasting love, you require equality in your intimate relationships. You want a true partnership in love, one in which you and your lover are of equal importance, both putting in time and effort to make the relationship function well and last a lifetime. The only concern here is that you're so commitment-minded that you might stay in a relationship, trying to make it work, long past when you should have left it to find someone who's a closer match.

You have expressed my life so perfectly that it is almost scary. After 22years of a happy and prosperous love relationship, alcohol entered into the equation. For a decade it was tolerable…the last 6 years, truly unbearable. After 3 times in the battered women’s shelter, I left. He was found dead 6 weeks later, sigh. And all this life, especially the last 16 years of the relationship, my love affair with the Divine, the eternal love, has steadily deepened. And, yes, more than a few other, better offers came and went, but a sense of duty and loyalty made me stay when anyone else but an emotional masochist would have run! Thank you so very much for such an insightful article.
