Internal Issues

The Scorpio New Moon shifts your consciousness from external relationships to more internal issues. Depth and meaning are qualities that give value to our existence.

Mystery

There are many mysteries in life that intrigue us and invite us to delve a little deeper. This is a time when you find yourself looking within, seeking to understand yourself more truly.

Transformation

Look at the areas in your life that need healing. Some of it may be physical, but much of it is probably emotional. Contemplate the way you respond to any situation or crisis. Do you overreact? Do you panic? Do you make the wicked Witch of the West look like Mother Teresa? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you may want to take a look at your personal triggers.

Pain and Trauma

Generally speaking, where your reaction is the strongest is where your greatest pain resides. See if there’s a link with a childhood trauma that keeps you behaving in ways that can be embarrassing for you. Don’t expect to change overnight, but at least try to recognize patterns that keep reemerging.

Honesty

Be honest with yourself. Play detective with your life by charting some of the best and worst moments you can remember. Try to sit still long enough and insights will come. Make a commitment to tackle a few of these demons. Do a little research and see if there is any professional help that you can utilize in the healing process. You may want to consider alternative therapies such as rebirthing, hypnotherapy, and naturopathy.

New Moon sextile Jupiter

During the short influence of this transit we feel happy, upbeat and optimistic for the future. People are kind to each other and extend offers of generosity and goodwill. With this kind of astro-weather going on, it’s pretty easy to reach out and make connections that are meaningful, even if they’re casual. The greater good of all comes into focus, exceeding personal satisfaction. This is a great time to dream about the future and what we want to see happen; the seeds sown now, in good faith, will bear fruit in times to come.

New Moon sextile Saturn

The mood is somber and serious during this short transit, but not depressing. Most folks simply want to be left alone so they can get their work done without any type of interruption or distraction. We feel focused and committed to completing our responsibilities. There is a temporary sense of emotional restriction; that is, we may feel shy or otherwise reticent to express how we feel. This is an excellent time to do work in or on our homes and our personal lives, because we can see what needs to be fixed and we feel dedicated to accomplishing it. Endurance is good but by the end of the day, a restful sleep will sound very appealing.

New Moon sextile Pluto

Our perceptions are noticeably sharpened under this brief transit and much can be perceived in a short amount of time. Our intuition is increased and our vision is keen. Powerful emotions can surface now, which are best discharged through exercise or processed in a heart-to-heart talk with someone close. Even if the feelings are unpleasant, we quickly move through them to find their source and illuminate it. Therapeutic progress is actually easy during this transit because we’re willing to look fearlessly inside and dig up the muck, which then becomes compost to enhance future personal growth.

New Moon trine Neptune

This short transit is very subtle but the most sensitive among us will be able feel and utilize the compassionate, intuitive energy it represents. Our spirits are drawn back to the Source for these few hours, so any type of spiritual practice is highly effective now because we can move to that centered, quiet inner place very quickly at this time. Meditation, yoga, tai chi, church services, reverent prayer, even just sitting quietly out in a serene natural setting — any and all of these important but oft-forgotten balms from daily life will help us feed our souls. The escapist urge could be strong for people who don’t recognize the call of the spiritual.
