Mercury trine Saturn

Working Late

Kelli Fox
Mercury trine Saturn

My, aren't we the practical, sober thinker lately? Organized, focused, hardworking. Yes, this is definitely an energy you want to take advantage of while it's here, because it's short-lived and only rolls around a couple times a year.

This is one of those times when you should get up early and stay up late working. You'll accomplish an amazing amount, conquering your to-do list and then some. You do your best work on projects that are already established, ones that are defined, detailed and organized. You manage your time effectively and handle work relationships professionally. Responsibility comes easily, so this is a good time to set goals for the coming months and years. Not only that, but you'll have a new inspiration or idea about a problem that's been nagging at you. You're more about serious communication than humor or frivolity now, but that's perfectly okay. You don't want to squander this beneficial energy, even if it is quite sober and serious. There will be time for fun next week, when this influence wanes.

When I started studying astrology in 2014 I made a point to use every transit to it’s fullest potential, especially transits to natal Saturn and from transiting Saturn. Every year since 2014 when transit Mercury is conjunct my natal Saturn I make it a point to do a thorough cleaning of my bedroom, have conversations with people that I have neglected to yet have and ultimately just be productive the day the transit is exact. Today that transit is exact and I’ve been doing everything mentioned above.

Also, I sew and do hand embroidery and have noticed that every year when Mercury is exactly trine natal Saturn (never conjunct or sextile, only trine for some reason) I always seem to have friends coming to me begging me to do some embroidery or seamstress work for them. I am super focused and detail-oriented on my hand embroidery work which in itself is a hobby that requires immense attention to detail if you want the end product to look professional and neat; therefore, the detail-oriented aspect of this transit amplifies my already detailed personality. This is probably one of my most favorite transits and probably the one aspect that I wish I had in my natal chart.
