Full Moon in Scorpio: 17 degrees on May 7th.

The Full Moon opposes Mercury and Uranus, squares Mars, trines Neptune and sextiles Pluto.

Healing

During the Scorpio Full Moon, you may feel your personal power growing within, gaining strength. The consequences of your initial work during the New Moon begin to show in obvious ways. Physical and emotional wounds are beginning to heal. You feel in control of your life, as opposed to being controlled by circumstances.

Personal Power

Personal power is central to self actualization, and you are certainly on your way. Carry on with your good work! If you have been playing detective, attempting to demystify a particular problem or issue, chances are good that some answers are starting to show. Don’t stop your line of questioning. Delve further for a deeper understanding of the matter.

Emotions

Emotions are highlighted with this full moon. You are present, completely engaged in your close relationships. Time spent with loved ones can be more meaningful, as long as you don’t try to project your fears onto your sweetheart. Physical intimacy can be particularly passionate and steamy.

Strategy and Contemplation

Under Scorpio’s influence, meditation is sure to generate amazing insights. You may even get more ideas about your future direction. As the moon begins to wane, enjoy whatever quiet time you have at your disposal. Take a time-out from partying. In this day and age, we do not know how to appreciate quiet times. When the mood seizes you, relish the messages that silence can offer.

Full Moon opposite Mercury

Misunderstandings can easily occur during the brief period of this transit, for several reasons. Our perceptions are off right now, because we’re filtering information through our network of emotions, which means it won’t arrive at the other end of the process in the same condition that it went in. Communication and all forms of expression are emotionally tinged, both in the giving and the receiving. We think we know how other people feel, when actually we’re simply projecting our own emotions onto them. We may feel nervous and high-strung for no apparent reason. Happily, this influence will fade in a few short hours.

Full Moon square Mars

This impatient, jumpy energy will only last a few hours but can be quite irritating while it’s here. Suddenly folks are touchy and hypersensitive, taking offense where none was intended, becoming easily defensive and having emotional outbursts. It’s too easy to have one’s feelings hurt during this brief period and wounds that take only seconds to inflict may take much longer to heal. Impulsive or emotionally based actions are likely during this time, and usually won’t be beneficial in the long term. Tempers are short and arguments can easily ensue if folks give in to the self-indulgence or selfishness that this transit can create.

Full Moon opposite Uranus

This is probably the worst time of the month to try to make a personal or emotional connection with anyone else. Most people are feeling rather peevish for these few hours. We’re not in the mood for polite conversation or for enduring any type of social niceties; instead, we want to be left alone. We’re irritable. Grumpy, even. We’re oversensitive and feel bombarded by invisible vibrations. And we’re not wrong about that — those vibes are always there, but right now we feel them more than usual. We could easily do something quirky and then blame it on the other guy. Thank goodness this transit is so short-lived.

Full Moon trine Neptune

This short transit is very subtle but the most sensitive among us will be able feel and utilize the compassionate, intuitive energy it represents. Our spirits are drawn back to the Source for these few hours, so any type of spiritual practice is highly effective now because we can move to that centered, quiet inner place very quickly at this time. Meditation, yoga, tai chi, church services, reverent prayer, even just sitting quietly out in a serene natural setting — any and all of these important but oft-forgotten balms from daily life will help us feed our souls. The escapist urge could be strong for people who don’t recognize the call of the spiritual.

Full Moon sextile Pluto

Our perceptions are noticeably sharpened under this brief transit and much can be perceived in a short amount of time. Our intuition is increased and our vision is keen. Powerful emotions can surface now, which are best discharged through exercise or processed in a heart-to-heart talk with someone close. Even if the feelings are unpleasant, we quickly move through them to find their source and illuminate it. Therapeutic progress is actually easy during this transit because we’re willing to look fearlessly inside and dig up the muck, which then becomes compost to enhance future personal growth.
