They'll see you as far too radical in your thinking. They won't want to follow you in your leaps of logic, and it's true -- you're more comfortable with your own abstractions than they are. They need more of a reasonable, well-laid-out approach that makes sense in the real world. You, on the other hand, are less tied to or concerned with the real world, and you might see your friend as mentally or creatively limited, since they try so hard to be rational. Well, at least you'll challenge each other and provoke deeper, more careful thinking.
