Do you really know each other as well as you think you do? This is the question you'll both have to ask yourselves as your friendship progresses. In the beginning, when you're first in contact, there could be a lot of philosophical or spiritual talk, exchanging of ideas and comparing of notes.
You'll probably feel uplifted by each other, but that won't exactly be true. The more you idealize each other, the harder it will be to see the differences between you until it's too late. Now, don't misunderstand -- a certain level of idealism is actually nice to have. But when it starts to obscure the people that you truly are, that's when it becomes a troublesome influence. You two must be very careful to deal with each other honestly.
