Your Aries Pet

Humans aren’t the only ones on Earth affected by the planets’ movements. Just as you have a distinct personality, so does your beloved dog or cat — and just as your personality is affected by the position of the Sun at the moment of your birth, so is Fido’s or Tiger’s. Like their human counterparts, animals express their personality traits through the energy of the Sun, as filtered through the Signs of the Zodiac.

Read your pet’s Sign to discover how the Zodiac has influenced his or her personality. If you aren’t sure of your pet’s exact birth date, read through each Sign profile to find the one that fits your furry friend to a T. Chances are good that your pet was born when the fiery Sun was passing through that Sign.

If you could translate an Aries animal’s barks or meows, you might find they’re saying, “Go, go, go!” Brave, impulsive and demanding — that’s the Aries pet, in a nutshell. When an Aries dog or cat sees what she wants, she pursues it, no matter what obstacles might stand in the way. Needless to say, this leap-first, look-later approach to life can lead to plenty of trouble. Be patient when housetraining, and accept that your pet’s impulsivity could lead him to joyfully tear up your favorite bedroom slippers again and again before the rules of the house are finally learned. Also, be especially vigilant about your Aries pet when she is out of the house or off-leash; an Aries dog might dash across a busy street to chase a squirrel, or an Aries cat may charge up a tree, forgetting he can’t find his way down again. Aries pets need lots of exercise to work off their boundless energy, so it’s a good idea to invest in a kitty play tower or a dog walker if you work long hours. Otherwise, that wonderful, high-spirited Aries energy can turn depressed, angry or destructive. Finally, don’t fight against your Aries pet’s independence. You may have thought you were adopting a sweet, cuddly kitten or puppy, but don’t be surprised if your kitty’s claws come out fast, or your puppy prefers a good romp to soft caresses.
