Reading Auras

Reading Auras

Every human being has an aura, a subtle radiance that surrounds and emanates from each of us. Just as each person’s personality is unique, so is that person’s aura, as it is the essence of the individual — an energetic field that expresses the fundamental nature of that particular soul. For some, especially those with particularly strong psychic sensibilities, seeing another person’s aura is second nature; that luminous nimbus is as visible and apparent as the person’s eyes or hair.

But for most of us, auras are imperceptible, not detectible by sight or any other sense. Still, every person you encounter is surrounded by an aura — and so are you. Learning to perceive others’ auras is a skill that can be mastered over time. Once you are able to read another person’s aura, you will be able to tell a great deal about them simply by looking at them, including their current mood and state of health, their thoughts and worries, and more.

Many people who can see auras describe them in terms of color. Different colors represent different things about the person, ranging from their emotions to their physical or mental health. There are many different variations within a particular hue — for example, a vibrant red aura indicates a powerful, sexual energy, while a thicker, more brick-red aura indicates anger. Following are the general meanings of the various colors of human auras.

Red or pink: A red aura is one of the highest energetic intensities or frequencies. This color can indicate heart or circulatory issues, whether positive or afflicted; a strong or healthy ego; and sexual desire. Someone with a red aura might be powerful, energetic and sexual (bright red); angry or resentful (muddy, brick red); creative and confident (orange-red); artistic or affectionate (light, bright pink); or dishonest or immature (dark pink).

Orange: Like red, an orange aura reveals strong energy and emotion. This color indicates good health, high spirits, sociability and excitement. It can also, however, reveal problems with addiction. Someone with an orange aura is intelligent, creative, sociable and possibly scientific.

Yellow or gold: A yellow aura indicates energy, inspiration, creativity, playfulness and optimism. Someone with a light yellow aura feels hopeful and enthusiastic, while someone whose aura is a brighter, deeper yellow may be seeking power or fearful of losing control. A dark yellow aura reveals someone who is stressed out or whose mind is overtaxed by a strong effort to absorb new ideas. A gold aura indicates divine guidance; someone with a golden aura is on the path of enlightenment. This color relates to inner spiritual wisdom.

Green: A green aura relates to the heart and the lungs, and indicates a teacher or healer. Someone with a clear, bright green or yellowish-green aura loves animals or being in nature, and is focused on creating positive change in the world. Someone with a darker, more forest-green aura, however, may be feeling jealous or insecure, or may see himself as a victim of unfavorable circumstances. This person may also have low self-esteem and be sensitive to criticism.

Blue, turquoise or indigo: Auras in the blue color palette relate to the thyroid, throat or immune system, and generally indicate calm, loving, peaceful, sensitive energy. Someone with a soft blue, bright blue, turquoise or indigo aura is highly sensitive and intuitive, and wants to help others. A darker or muddier blue, however, indicates someone who is afraid to express himself or to face some deep, important truth.

Purple or violet: A purple or violet aura relates to the nervous system and indicates strong spiritual attunement. Someone with an aura in this color range is intuitive and wise, idealistic and artistic, magnetic and perhaps even magical. These people are visionaries with an uncommon ability to manifest their dreams.

White, silver, gray or black: White and silver auras indicate purity, truth and abundance; many children have white auras, while fewer adults do. A white or partially white aura in an adult can indicate pregnancy or, in children or adults, the presence of angels. Silver auras can indicate someone whose mind is open to the universe, or who has plenty of money or other resources. Darker gray or black auras, on the other hand, indicate someone who is carrying a great deal of fear, resentment or grief. Such dark auras can reveal health problems that have resulted from long-term, negative emotional buildup.
