Capricorn: Jude Law

Kelli Fox
Capricorn: Jude Law

Jude Law, English actor, film producer and director and whose personal life is probably just as well-known as his professional life. That said, in 2006, he was one of the top ten most bankable movie stars in Hollywood. Capricorns are usually hard working and can see trends before others.

With Jupiter, planet of hope, faith and optimism also in Capricorn, we can tell he has lots of plans for the future and will strive to reach those goals in a practical and sensible way. With this influence, he would also make a great teacher and is someone who stands up for what he believes in. He was part of a film called “The Day After Peace” which was shot in Afghanistan and is about commitments and activities for peace in that country. He also joined street protests against Alexander Lukashenko and Lukashenko's brutal crackdown on the Belarusian democracy movement.

Venus, planet of love, is in the bachelor sign of Sagittarius. Many with this influence need their freedom at all costs. He married fellow actor Sadie Frost when he was twenty five and had three children within six years before divorcing. Venus forms an opposition to Saturn, planet of responsibility and discipline so on one hand he seeks freedom and on the other he wants the long term commitment and stability of a relationship. It seems this may be a dichotomy for him this lifetime.

Venus is also forming a wide conjunction to Neptune, planet of illusion. When these two planets come together the individual tends to wear “rose colored glasses” when it comes to matters of the heart. They sometimes fall “in love with love” rather than see the reality of the situation. They make for sweet, compassionate lovers but will refuse to see the other side of the coin when the going gets tough. Remember when Jude Law and Sienna Miller broke off their engagement? He was caught cheating with the nanny. Pretty silly huh? It seems perhaps he couldn’t face the cold hard reality of a more serious commitment of marriage with Ms Miller. With the Venus opposition to Saturn he was probably feeling his freedom was restricted so acted out with the nanny instead of facing the situation.

Passion planet, Mars is in the last degree of Scorpio. Individuals with this placement have a raw, sexual energy with wild desires when it comes to satisfying their libido. With this influence he makes for one determined man with a long term plan. It seems the best may yet to come with Mr Jude Law.
